Winter Dramatic Burgundy Wedding at St. Anthony's on the Creek

One of my favorite wedding trends for the past few years is this transition from true red only to shades of red, especially burgundy! It’s a fresh take on a classic wedding palette. Madeline came to me with a vision of burgundy for her wedding at St. Anthony’s on the Creek and I was so excited to design another event in this palette.

For her bouquet, we used Hearts Garden Roses, wine scabiosa, and red carnations to create the dramatic look she was after. To freshen the look, we added blush carnations and delicate white wax flower. To separate her from her bridesmaid’s, we used blush carnations and white spray roses to design bouquets in a similar style that stood out on their own! They provided amazing contrast to the ladies zinfandel hued dresses. The groom’s boutonniere encompassed the whole mood of the day in one piece. Red spray roses, accented by white wax flower, and purple hypericum berry created a mini-masterpiece for his lapel.

For the ceremony, we artfully scattered white rose petals in-between tall votive candles. It created a stunning effect that made for some absolute amazing photos! For the reception, the 3 tiered cake was adorned with a large piece filled with White O’Hara Garden Roses, blush carnations, and foliage. I LOVE the contrast it provided to the bride and groom’s flowers and the burgundy accents throughout the ceremony.
