Bright Spring Wildflower Gala at The Thaden School

We don’t just specialize in Weddings her at Rose of Sharon, in fact, we’ve been designing for corporate, non-profit, and private events since we opened! This year, we had the pleasure of designing for the Thaden School Gala which was held at the old Benton County Fairgrounds. “An Evening at the Fair” was the perfect theme for the night, which was orchestrated by Event Manager, Laura Hammarstrom.
Laura imagined a colorful, wildflower aesthetic to contrast with the rustic nature of the venue and the antique plane (an ode to Louise Thaden) & fair accents she had planned. To make the vision come to life, we designed bright arrangements full of pink spray roses, yellow ranunculus, blue delphinium, and fuchsia mini carnations.
The vessel for each arrangement was a rustic birch box that looked amazing with all the natural wood accents in the space! We designed them in varying sizes and they were placed throughout the venue; on accent tables next to model vintage planes, atop the hors d’oeuvres table, and at the center of each table setting. The blue-purple delphinium tied them into the blue accents all over the space, while the oranges, pinks, and yellows made them POP!
Finally, on-site I designed a large floral spray to complement a blue Ford Model T! It was the perfect ending to a day at the fair.
The talented Novo Studio and John Owen photographed this stunning event! Take a look at their lovely images below! Enjoy!
