Fairytale Rose Elopement at St. Catherine's

If 2020 was a phrase it would be, “Expect the unexpected!” In terms of the wedding industry, the whole year became a make it work moment! Brides and Grooms all over the world had to postpone their nuptials or opt for a smaller event, enter microweddings and elopements!
This sweet couple decided to elope at the enchanting St. Catherine’s at Bell Gable. Stacey wanted something to dress up the chapel doors. I showed her an inspiration picture of an open floral arch framing church doors. This was a perfect style for the curved chapel doors! I used fluffy white mums, cream and pink roses (the bride's favorite), and a slew of foliage to create a fairytale feel. The best part of the piece: its versatility. Because this open arch is easily mobile, it could be use outside or inside to frame the altar. A bouquet of romantic pink roses, plus a white rose bout rounded out the day for a truly magical feel.
We took some behind the scenes photos of our process this time! You’ll see 3 versions of the open floral arch. One with only greenery, one with greenery and some flowers, and then the final product. It just goes to show that any concept can be tailored to fit your vision or aesthetic. As your florist, it’s my job to make it happen and make it pretty.
