Let's Talk About...Tall Centerpieces
Using Tall Centerpieces
One of the most requested items for weddings is elevated centerpieces. These beautiful arrangements are an important element for filling a large room. Many of the venues we work in have tall ceilings & wide open spaces. And when you have 200 guests, you need this much room.
200 guests require 20 to 25 tables. Add in a dance floor, a DJ, photobooth, cake, sweetheart table & buffet tables...wide open space is a REQUIREMENT!
Large spaces
For example, these centerpieces were a simple mix of palm fronds in a 36" tall vase. Seems pretty large, right?
Now look at these same arrangements in the room (Crystal Bridges Museum). They don't seem quite so large now!
High Ceilings
Here's another example. These arrangements were about 3.5' tall and pretty full.
But in the room, they are dwarfed by the large fireplace & high ceilings!
Tents
Tents are another place that tall centerpieces really help fill the space. For the arrangements below, we used a mix of blue & white hydrangeas. The design is simple, but by varying the height of the arrangements, the eye is drawn to the tables rather than the tent.
Although you have to make sure the ground is level! The next centerpieces were supposed to be on 24" tall glass vases but when we arrived at the venue, it was windy & the ground was sloped. There was no way to elevate them safely.
What about price?
Most of our clients don't know what floral arrangements cost. And that's OK-it's our job to know that!
When discussing tall centerpieces, we've designed pieces from $125 up to $2400. Let's look at some examples.
As you can see, the price of these large arrangements can vary quite a bit. But when you consider the size of the room, the size of arrangements needed to fill that room and the impact they can make, I think it's a worthwhile investment.
I'll leave you with this one...
